Innovation is in our DNA. Our in-house product development team translates trends and market preferences into widely appealing product designs and is always working to improve and patent widely beneficial product features for our customers.
Testing
Our in-house Photometric light testing provides lumens, light color temperature, and system efficiency readings, which allows us to test long-term lighting performance and keeps Alpena ahead of our market competitors with all lighting systems, with real direct numbers that impact future designs.
Alpena Auto App
The Alpena Auto App has recently been updated on both iOS and Android app stores. We’ve included some new features and the ability to control 75+ new lighting choices! All current RGB App controlled LED strip products have been updated, including: 48in Interior Command, 112in Exterior Command, 24in MultiGloz starter inline, and the 136in Underglow RGB.
DOT Compliant
We’ve recently introduced a wide range of lighting products that are compliant with the Department of Transportation (DOT). Why is DOT Compliant lighting important? Off-road auxiliary lighting is one thing, but everyone knows that it's important to have lighting that is also safe and legal for on-road use. Alpena DOT Compliant Street legal J581 Auxiliary High Beam Driving Lights allow them to be used on-the-road, not just off-road.
DOT compliant lighting meets section 108 requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). These standards regulate all automotive lighting, signaling, and reflective devices. An arm of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and an executive branch of the U.S. government, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) establish and administer the FMVSS.
Our goal is to remain innovative in every aspect of LED lighting and interior automotive accessories. To do so, we are researching and monitoring industry trends daily, with the hopes of positively impacting the usability and effectiveness of our products in the future.
